What have animals done to deserve such swinish treatment? In English, nearly every animal reference is less than flattering. Take for example batty, bitchy, mousy, mulish, ratty, sluggish or swinish. Kittenish might be an exception, but the word also suggests a kind of feline minxishness that's not altogether positive. Listed below are the adjective forms of ten animals.
